(Crohn’s) – When someone visits San Francisco, there is a short list of must-try cafes while in the Bay Area. Philz Coffee is one of them.
After opening its first location 22 years ago in the Mission District, the San Francisco (and Bay Area) staple coffee shop is now opening its first drive-thru in the Bay Area. Philz Coffee’s newest café and café will be in Pleasanton, the company announced in a press release. This will be the first drive-in throughout Northern California and the Phils’ 79th location overall.
Philz Coffee will have its grand opening on Wednesday at 1803 Santa Rita Road, with hours 5:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and a soft opening was Monday through Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Pleasanton location’s hours are 5:30 AM to 6 PM on weekdays and 6 AM to 6 PM on weekends. This café can accommodate up to 35 guests, Fells said. Drive-thru photos can be viewed below.

The exterior of the Pleasanton Philz Hotel was designed by California artist Lauren Cooper of Rosemont Lane.
Most Philz Coffee locations are located throughout California. There are six in Illinois. She has built a fan base over the years, boasting over 93,000 followers Instagram.
