Mike & Patty’s lands at Logan Airport

One of Boston’s most popular breakfast sandwich shops has landed at Logan Airport.

Mike and Pattyknown for its fully loaded egg sandwiches, just opened in Terminal C, announced MarketPlace Logan, which operates the concessions program at Logan Airport.

Rich Davey, CEO of the Massachusetts Port Authority, described Mike & Patty’s as “Boston’s iconic sandwich shop” in a video taken during the opening celebration this week.

“Let me tell you, if you’re looking for a breakfast sandwich, these guys have the best sandwich in town,” Davey said. “Fantastic food. You will not be disappointed.”

The Food Network called Mike & Patty’s sandwiches “Genius menu creations among the bread“.

The site offers the full Mike & Patty Menuwhich includes the famous The Fancy, which consists of Vital Farms fried eggs, bacon, cheddar cheese, smashed avocado, red onion, and house mayonnaise on toasted Flourhouse multigrain bread. The restaurant also offers BLTs, turkey sandwiches, and vegetarian options.

Mike & Patty’s small flagship location in Bay Village, just 175 square feet, opened in 2008. Ania Zaroda and Michael Gurevich took over the business in 2012 and now there are locations in Jamaica Plain, Newton, Lexington, Somerville, and at the High Street Place Food Hall downtown.

The restaurant’s operating hours at the airport are from 5:30 a.m. to 30 minutes before the last flight of the day.

Last month, popular North End bakery Mike’s Pastry announced it would open in Logan Airport’s Terminal C later this year.
