Local protesters gather in Alameda, Albany, Berkeley, Calistoga, Cotati, Corte Madera, El Cerrito, Fremont, Half Moon Bay, Hayward, Healdsburg, Hercules, Mill Valley, Milpitas, Napa, Novato, Oakland, Pacifica, Palo Alto, Petaluma, Redwood City, San Francisco, San Jose, San Leandro, San Rafael, Sausalito, Sunnyvale, Union City and Vallejo.

Thousands of people also gathered in the Bay Area for the first “No to Kings” protest held in June in response to the military parade held on Trump’s birthday.

“In June, we did what many claimed was impossible: we peacefully mobilized millions of people to take to the streets and declare with one voice: America has no kings,” the No Kings website said. “And it mattered. The world saw the power of the people. Protests in every state and around the world drowned President Trump’s birthday parade. His attempt to turn Juneteenth into a coronation collapsed, and the story became a force for a movement rising up against his authoritarian power grab.”
