Throwing stones into the sea, splashing them into the Nile, all under the Egyptian sun. These are the simple, raw moments of the Egyptian summer; Simple, humble and really healthy.
These are the moments that can’t be put on travel postcards, but somehow stay with us longer. From the cup of tea shared without planning, the breeze rustling through the palm trees, and the laughter of children dipping into the Nile before heading home for dinner, summer in Egypt has always been a feeling that lives somewhere between memory and music.
But, how does one translate the feeling of summer into sound and flavour?
For the Egyptian product Al-Waili, When Karim Jaber was born, music was always a way to preserve emotions. He is known for his hypnotic productions and future fusion of Popular (Urban Popular) With electronic music, Al-Waili has built a world where tradition beautifully collides with experience.
Now, this sonic fantasy has found an unexpected source of inspiration. In collaboration with artisanal chocolate and beverage brand Moko, the musical film titled “Blended Coladaset out to answer a question few have thought to ask: What if the summer drink had a voice?
The result is a custom composition created for the Blended Colada, which is not just a soundtrack that accompanies the drink, but a musical interpretation of its spirit. Refreshing, nostalgic, playful and sunshine-soaked, the piece translates flavor into feeling, inviting listeners to experience summer with their ears as much as their palates.
accompanying her Musical movie Equally evocative. The film recognizes that the magic of the Egyptian summer was never found in beach resorts or coastal retreats. It lives on in the rituals we’ve inherited without even realizing it, as in the spontaneous swims, the long afternoons by the water, the salt on our skin, the fleeting moments that become lifelong memories before we even know they’re happening.
“Everyone can remember a song that defines summer, but rarely can they tell you why,” says Mahmoud Barakat, founder of Moko.
“We wanted to make a film about that feeling, the nostalgia that still moves forward, the memory that still moves.”

However, perhaps what makes the musical truly engaging is the way it includes the many faces of summer across Egypt.
Drift across the emerald green landscape of El Qanater El Khayriya in Egypt, where fields gently sway alongside the eternal rhythm of the Nile River. The film travels to the vast stillness of the desert in El Quseir, where Bedouin communities gather after sunset, swapping stories as tea kettles boil over glowing fire pits.
Between riverbanks, coasts, farmlands and sand dunes, the film reveals an Egypt that is diverse, but emotionally connected to the same season, the same warmth, and the same sense of belonging. The film becomes an ode to the simple rituals of the Egyptian summer itself.
“Summer only truly begins when there is a song that defines it,” says Rola El Kaliouby, founder of Intuition Collective, the creative agency behind the campaign. “This is what we want to create every year, a summer anthem that people associate with the season, not just another brand ad.”
To complete the collaboration, Moko will host an intimate live session with Al Waily in Almaza Bay on the northern coast in the first week of August.
