Sydney Sweeney finally addresses ‘Euphoria’ cast feud rumors

Sydney Sweeney blamed the media for spreading rumors that she and her “Euphoria” co-stars were feuding behind the scenes.

“We all grew up together on this show.” He told Vanity Fair In an interview published on Wednesday when he was asked about rumors of the drama the cast claimed that their busy schedules led to a four-year gap between seasons two and three.

“It’s honestly crazy to watch how much social media and the press spread things,” the actress added.

“I was on top at HBO. So the minute they say, ‘Hey, this is the first day of filming,’ I’m not legally allowed to do anything else. So my schedule doesn’t impact the show,” she explained.

Sweeney, 28, said it was “funny” to watch people “spin narratives” about why filming on the hit HBO show had been postponed for so long.

“We were all in first place, so it wasn’t like any of our schedules were delaying it,” she announced.

Rumors surfaced that Zendaya (who plays Ru Bennett) and Sweeney (who portrays Cassie Howard) were feuding over several issues.

The American newspaper The Sun reported that the “Immaculate” actress’s political views as a registered Republican caused a division among the co-stars.

“It’s not like they’ve had a major falling out, but Zendaya has quietly distanced herself from Syd. Their politics are completely different,” an insider told the outlet.

“It’s a little annoying because Zendaya doesn’t want to be associated with a Trump supporter,” they added.

The 29-year-old “Dune” star and Sweeney sparked feud rumors when they appeared to avoid each other at the Season 3 premiere in April.

“‘Euphoria’ bosses are fully aware that the pair don’t get along. There have been tensions in the past… their paths barely crossed during the making of season three,” an insider claimed to The Sun.

They added: “During the press tour, any interactions between the duo were kept to a minimum to avoid any embarrassing encounters in front of the camera.”

The source claimed that Sweeney had “the hots for” Zendaya’s husband, Tom Holland, at one point.

Sources also claimed that Sweeney’s political views caused friction. (Pictured: Sweeney in selfie.) Sydney Sweeney/Instagram

“This didn’t sit well with Zendaya. They haven’t really hung out socially since then,” the source claimed.

However, an insider told Page Six that the feud rumors are not accurate.

The source said: “They are in high demand and are working continuously.”
