The San Francisco 49ers’ receiving corps is finally approaching full health as Jauan Jennings and Ricky Pearsall both prepare to play. Both receivers enter Week 11 with Brock Purdy returning to the lineup for the first time since Week 4. Can fantasy football managers trust either 49ers receiver this week?
Jauan Jennings Fantasy Outlook
Ever since returning from injuries of his own, Jennings has steadily improved. He finally looks healthy and it’s showing in his recent production. Over the past two weeks, Jennings has posted 14.1 and 17.1 fantasy points against the Rams and Patriots.
While he’s been aided by a touchdown in each contest, Jennings did see a season-high nine targets last week. His route participation rate isn’t quite 90%, but it’s been around 85% since Week 6. That level of involvement should remain consistent even with Pearsall returning to action.

The competition for targets does increase with Pearsall back in the lineup. Jennings has led the 49ers in targets over the past four games. However, spreading the ball among more healthy receivers naturally reduces everyone’s individual opportunity.
Jennings’ workload should remain steady despite the changing personnel landscape. In Week 1 when both he and Pearsall played together, Jennings had five targets for two catches and 16 yards. That limited sample size doesn’t provide much insight into how things will look with everyone healthy moving forward.
Ricky Pearsall Fantasy Outlook
Pearsall hasn’t played since Week 4 due to a PCL injury. Finally cleared to return, he will resume his role starting opposite Jennings on the outside. We haven’t really seen both of these receivers truly healthy and on the field together all season, making it difficult to project exactly what target distribution will look like.
Pearsall’s best game of the season came in Week 3 when Jennings did not play. He caught eight of 11 targets for 117 yards in that contest.

The extent to which Pearsall gets thrown into the fray in his first game back remains unclear. Offensive coordinator Klay Kubiak noted Pearsall has been getting limited reps while easing back in, though he’s looked good in practice. Whether Pearsall sees a full complement of snaps is too early to tell at this stage.
It says something that Pearsall has played only half as many games as Jennings yet has already recorded more receiving yardage at 327 yards compared to Jennings’ 324. The sophomore’s explosiveness creates big-play potential that makes him intriguing despite the uncertainty about his Week 11 workload.
Should You Start Jennings or Pearsall This Week?
The matchup isn’t necessarily imposing, but the Cardinals have been solid defensively. Arizona ranks average or better against every position, creating middle-tier conditions rather than exploitable matchups.
For the first time since Week 1, the 49ers will have their quarterback, top two receivers, and George Kittle on the field simultaneously. This represents the healthiest San Francisco has been all season on offense. The return of Purdy particularly benefits both receivers given his superior accuracy and decision-making compared to backup quarterbacks.
Ultimately, every 49er you have is startable in Week 11. How productive they will be remains to be seen given the competitive target distribution. Jennings, Pearsall, Purdy, and of course Kittle and Christian McCaffrey all belong in fantasy lineups for managers who roster them.
Jennings offers the safer floor due to his established role and recent target volume. Pearsall provides boom potential through his explosive ability but carries uncertainty about his snap count in his return game. Both receivers qualify as WR3 options with upside in this favorable offensive environment.
