Person killed in Mattapan shooting, 2 others shot in Dorchester overnight Saturday

One man was killed in a shooting in Mattapan, while two others were killed just hours later in a separate shooting in Dorchester, police said.

Police are investigating two separate shootings that left one person dead and two others injured Saturday and early Sunday morning in Boston, a weekend that saw at least five people shot in Boston neighborhoods.

The first shooting occurred in Mattapan on Saturday evening, at the Boston Police Department to publish. At 11:39 p.m., officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound outside 28 Woolson Street.

Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene, police said.

At 2:06 a.m. Sunday, police were notified of a person shot at 255 Geneva Street in Dorchester, Boston police told Boston.com.

Officers found two people who had been shot near the intersection of Geneva Street and Everton Street, police wrote.

Police said the two victims were taken to nearby hospitals for further treatment.

Both shootings are currently under investigation, police said.

No arrests have been made in the Dorchester shooting, BPD said.

The Boston Police Department has not said whether anyone has been arrested in connection with the Mattapan shooting.

A double shooting in Dorchester on Sunday evening left two people injured, one seriously, police said.
