Kate Gosselin breaks down over ‘strain’ of adopting rescue dog in tearful TikTok

Kate Gosselin got emotional as she spoke about the “stress” of incorporating rescue dog Koda into her home.

“I was just crying this morning,” the “Jon & Kate Plus 8” alum said. It was shared on TikTok Tuesday while providing a “Day 12 Update” on the animal.

“I’m tired. It’s getting to be a lot, it makes me sound like a kid, but the truth is I was constantly watching and hoping nothing would happen, you know, watching them all the time,” she said.

Gosselin — who also adopted Koda’s sister, Mika — said it was “a lot” trying to manage the dogs’ schedules at age 51.

“Koda is a huge character,” she said of the Belgian Malinois mix. “She is now so obsessed with her ball, just like Mika, that she can run forever.”

The former reality star said Koda shows as much energy as an Alaskan Malamute, and she’s starting to “doubt” herself.

“[Koda] “I destroyed a rug yesterday and I tried to destroy Chukka’s Nanook bed, and it makes me cry,” she said, referring to her former German shepherds.

“It’s our favorite bed. I’ve had it for 15+ years… and it’s very special to me. [Koda] He sleeps on it at night. It’s the bed we keep in our room that really bothered me. This would really break my heart. “I know things get destroyed,” Gosselin added.

The “Dancing with the Stars” alumna said the “pressure” and “stress and pressure” were “weighing down on her” and her boyfriend, Steve Nield; But they knew that the rescue might be difficult.

“In the end, perhaps no one could have saved her,” she claimed. “So, I know we’re doing something good. We just have to hang on.”
