Vice President J.D. Vance will appear on “The View” next week, his first appearance on the reliably liberal ABC News show, Fox News Digital has learned.
Vance, who is scheduled to join the show on June 16, will be the third vice president to appear on “The View.” All six hosts – Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sarah Haines, Alyssa Farrah Griffin and Ana Navarro – are expected to be in the studio for a rare interview with the Republican-elect.
The View received a total of 341 guests in 2025, but only two of them were conservative, while 128 were liberal, according to a study conducted by The View Institute. NewsBusters Media Research Center.
Vance will discuss his new book, “Fellowship: Finding Your Way Back to Faith,” along with today’s news and his goals for the Trump administration.
Vance’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.
“The View” has been notoriously anti-Trump for years, often criticizing the president and members of his administration.
In March, Houston and Bihar attacked Second Lady Osha Vance, suggesting she was “addicted” to power and that their values should align because the country was in an “existential crisis.”
Hostin argued that the values of Osha and the Vice President were incompatible, and also quoted Vance as once saying that he hoped Osha, a Hindu, would “come to see” and believe in the Christian gospel.
In the same episode, Behar referenced the former vice president’s criticism of President Donald Trump and said Vance now kisses Trump’s “ass” every day.
