Inside Prince Harry’s ‘frantic’ efforts to get kids to UK for King Charles reunion

Prince Harry is said to be “frantically” planning a reunion between his children and his father, King Charles.

The Duke of Sussex is providing private security so his wife, Meghan Markle, and their children — Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5 — can travel to the UK. He claimed a mirror Wednesday.

Harry, 41, and Charles, 77, have had several “hopeful” one-on-one conversations in recent weeks, an insider told the outlet.

They also claimed that the king instructed his senior aides to engage in conversations with his son and Markle, 44, in order to find time in his schedule to see the youngsters.

“Although nothing has been ruled out, talks are still ongoing,” another source claimed. He added: “The king will not miss the opportunity to spend time with his grandchildren, and if there is a way to make that possible, he will do it.”

Harry’s rep did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

The update comes on the heels of Page Six exclusively reporting that Markle and the kids’ potential visit may be the only time Harry spends time with Charles during his latest trip across the pond, which began on Monday.

“His only real chance [to meet Charles] “It was yesterday and today,” a royal insider told us on Wednesday. “If Meghan comes…with the kids, [a reunion is] “More than possible.”

However, the source noted, “It is difficult to see [a meeting] “happened” after Harry’s disastrous ruling on Tuesday, in which he lost his case against Associated Newspapers Ltd.

As we previously reported, Markle was originally scheduled to join her husband in Birmingham, England.

Last month, we heard Harry “desperately want…[ed]“Archie and Lilibet come to see the King who is currently suffering from cancer.

However, Harry – who previously lost a legal challenge over his ability to provide armed security while in his homeland – scrapped the plan over safety concerns.

Harry hit another roadblock when his invitation to Buckingham Palace was “withdrawn at the last minute” after he had “formally” accepted it and finalized his security plans.

Representatives of the former military pilot explained that palace staff said the stay would be impossible because Harry missed the July 3 deadline to notify them of his arrival.

It is worth noting that the prince has not seen his father since last September. At that time, the couple was having tea in London.

Harry and Markle were stripped of their security privileges in the UK after they left their royal duties and moved to California in 2020 – and since then, the couple have been at odds with the royal family.

The “Suits” alum has not visited the UK since she and Harry attended the funeral of the late Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022.

As for their children, they haven’t visited Harry’s native country since Queen Elizabeth II’s platinum jubilee celebrations earlier that same year.
