(Crohn’s) – In-N-Out mania has officially gone global. The popular California-based burger restaurant craze has made its way to South Korea.
Several Korean media outlets reported that hundreds of people waited in line last Wednesday in Seoul for a limited-time In-N-Out pop-up.
The pop-up event was held on October 15 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Gangnam area of Seoul, according to the website. Korea JoongAng Daily. Nearly 500 burgers were sold, and the first customer in line arrived at 3 a.m. outside Schedule Cheongdam, the restaurant where the pop-up was held.
This was reportedly on a first-come, first-served basis. This pop-up was announced just a day ago, but that didn’t stop a large crowd from planning their day to sample the American burger phenomenon.

Prices are fairly close to what one typically sees in California. According to photos taken at the pop-up, the Double-Double costs 8,500 won, which is roughly $6. The price of the cheeseburger was 6,500 won (~$4.50 USD) and 5,000 won for the hamburger (~$3.50 USD).

This isn’t the first time In-N-Out has had a pop-up in Korea.

Korea’s craze for In-N-Out likely has something to do with K-pop stars trying the California burger joint when they tour the West Coast. Girl group IVE has been spotted Eat in and out Burgers. A member of Stray Kids has taken down the burger chain While on stage.
There are no In-N-Out locations outside the United States.

In-N-Out opened its first restaurant in Baldwin Park, California, in 1948. Since then it has become one of, if not the, most popular fast food chain in California and the West Coast – extending as far as East Texas.
