Celtic vs AC Milan: Preview
Celtic have so far played three pre-season games, and yet have failed to win a single encounter.
Two draws, one with Middlesbrough and one with Shelbourne, came either side of a 4-1 hammering at the hands of Sporting.
“In terms of people staying away, I’m delighted that the people who came, because first of all, it’s summertime for a start. Secondly, it is pretty expensive to come to football matches now,” said O’Neill after only 12,000 were at the last friendly with Boro.
“We’ve got a game against AC Milan next week as well, so that’d be some people maybe coming to both games, that’s a lot of money, and then you have to buy a season ticket on top of that.”
Milan are now managed by former Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim, who took over from Massimiliano Allegri.
The Italian was sacked after a catastrophic run of form at the end of the season led to the club missing out on Champions League qualification.
Amorim departed Old Trafford last year and is now looking to rebuild his career after a poor run in the Premier League.
So far, the Italian giants have signed Goncalo Ramos from PSG, Marcos Gila from Lazio, with Francesco Camarda having seen a buy-back clause activated.
