Former NFL Player Left ‘Flabbergasted’ After Getting Snubbed off Wedding Invite From Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce finally tied the knot with Taylor Swift, but not everyone close to the Kansas City Chiefs veteran got a seat at his wedding. That includes one guy who considers himself a genuine friend.

Swift and Kelce got married last Friday at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Roughly 1,000 guests showed up to watch the couple say their vows. Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony. Big names like Jack Antonoff, Selena Gomez, and Gigi Hadid were all in the room too.

But former NFL linebacker Will Compton was not. And he’s still trying to wrap his head around it.

Will Compton Can’t Make Sense of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Wedding Snub

Compton co-hosts the popular “Bussin’ With the Boys” podcast alongside Taylor Lewan. Both former NFL players have a good relationship with Kelce.

The pair have welcomed Kelce to their show on multiple occasions and host the annual “Tight Ends & Friends” concert at Tight End University. Yet somehow, neither of them made the cut for the big day.

The snub came to light on Monday during an episode of “Wake Up Barstool.” Host Dave Portnoy called Compton, who was in Italy at the time, to talk about it live on air.

At first, the former Titans player played it cool. “I’m gonna be honest, I didn’t think nothing of it,” he told Portnoy. But that changed fast once he started scrolling through photos from the event.

“Turns out, all these photos I keep seeing, I saw Dean Blandino got an invite. Is that real?” he asked, clearly caught off guard that a TV rules analyst landed a spot he didn’t.

He didn’t hold back after that. “As I’ve been seeing these photos of everybody else at the wedding, I’m kinda flabbergasted why we didn’t get the invite,” Compton said.

Portnoy pointed out that pretty much everyone connected to Tight End University showed up to celebrate Swift and Kelce, except for Compton and Lewan. That stings a little more, given how close the pair have gotten to Kelce over the years.

Just last month, Compton and Lewan were in Nashville for this year’s Tight End University, the three-day football camp Kelce runs with fellow NFL stars George Kittle and Greg Olsen. Swift even made a surprise appearance at the camp’s concert, jumping on stage to sing with Lainey Wilson in front of a packed crowd.

Lewan couldn’t stop raving about it on a recent podcast episode. He talked about how much bigger the event has grown over six years and gave credit to the tight ends who show up early to build camaraderie before the cameras start rolling.

He also gushed over Swift’s performance. “The girl is incredible. What a performer,” Lewan said, adding that it’s rare to see someone with her level of fame still handle things the right way.

Lewan also opened up about his decade-long friendship with Kelce, calling him one of the few guys who hasn’t changed despite reaching a wild level of stardom.

At last year’s Tight End University, Compton and Lewan posed alongside Kelce and Taylor Swift, with all four flexing for the camera. The Instagram caption even joked that Swift was “for the boys.” Apparently, that friendship didn’t extend to the wedding guest list.
