Local Obituary: State Trooper Kevin Thomas Trainor, 30 years old
The fiancée of Massachusetts State Trooper Kevin Trainor, who died in the line of duty responding to a wrong-way driver call on Route 1 in Lynnfield, shared a heartfelt tribute.
Jessica Ostrowski She posted a message on Instagramaccompanied by photos of Trainor, whom she called her “everything” and “best friend.”
“It has healed so many parts of me that I never thought would ever be healed,” she wrote. “I am so proud of the amount of love you were given by those who loved and cared for you.”
Trainor, a field training officer, had served as a state trooper for three years. He responded to the call of a fatal collision just one minute after his shift was scheduled to end.
“You were not just a hero to me, you were a hero to everyone,” Ostrovsky wrote. “I have always been amazed and in awe of the amount of courage you have shown both on and off the job.”
With Ostrovsky, Trainor left behind his mother, three brothers, and one sister.
“I will always tell you how much I admire how great you are at your job, and how this career was meant for you, my dear,” Ostrovsky wrote. “Gone but never forgotten until we meet again my love.”
