Egypt was named the best tourist destination for the year 2026 at the 24th KITF International Tourism Fair I mentioned Written by Sada El Balad on Friday, April 24.
The award was announced during the annual exhibition held in the city of Almaty, Kazakhstan, one of the largest tourism events in Central Asia, where Egypt participated through the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority as part of the efforts made to promote the country through international markets.

Ahmed Youssef, CEO of the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority, said that the participation reflects a broader strategy to diversify tourism markets in Egypt, especially with the increasing interest from Russia and the CIS countries.
During the exhibition, the Egyptian delegation held meetings with tour operators, travel companies and airlines to explore ways to boost tourism flows, including joint promotional campaigns and industry workshops.
The delegation also participated in panel discussions on tourism trends, routes and travel offerings, highlighting the diverse offerings that Egypt has to offer, from cultural tourism to beach destinations.
