The Egyptian Wushu Kung Fu team gave an outstanding performance at the 11th Sanda World Cup, which was held from May 11 to 16 in Macau, China, winning three medals in one of the most prestigious international competitions for this sport.
The Egyptian attack was led by a wushu player Hosseini Wahdanwho took home the gold medal in the 85 kg category after a dominant run during the tournament. Wadan defeated the Russian champion in the semi-finals before defeating the top Romanian fighter in the final to take first place on May 14.
The win marks Wahdan’s third major international title in recent years, after winning gold at the 2025 World Games in China and the Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. His latest achievement reinforces his reputation as one of the most prominent combat sports athletes in Egypt.
Egypt also celebrated B Second gold medal Through world champion Ahmed Abdel Hamid Shalabi, who gave a strong performance to defeat the Kazakh fighter in the open weight final.

Egyptian fighter Ali Nasser Ahmed also strongly represented the team before he suffered a foot injury during the fight, which forced him to withdraw from the tournament and begin medical treatment.
The Sanda World Cup brought together elite fighters from around the world in one of the most competitive sporting tournaments. Egypt participated with a delegation consisting of four athletes: Hosseini Wahdan, Ahmed Abdel Hamid Shalabi, Ali Nasser Ahmed, and Menna Allah Muhammad Hassan.
The delegation was headed by Colonel Al-Kilani Farouk, while the technical staff included coaches Moataz Radi and Ashraf Khattab, along with international referee Walid Abu Haysa.
Sherif Mostafa, President of the African, Arab and Egyptian Wushu Kung Fu Federation and Vice President of the International Wushu Federation, supervised the team’s participation and provided full support to the athletes throughout the tournament.
Egypt’s acquisition of four medals highlights the country’s growing presence in international martial arts and reflects the continued rise of Egyptian athletes on the global sanda stage.
