Smith “died living her dreams.”
Chloe Christina Smith, 25, died living her dreams. Most of us never get that opportunity, that special moment when life comes together, the wind is at your back, and you have everything you want right in front of you. Chloe was an avid equestrian and loved horses. In a cruel twist of fate, she had just achieved what she wanted most: she had become the new owner of a farm and horse stables, and she was rising through the ranks in competitive riding, teaching lessons to another generation of riders. the next An accident during a routine flightShe was gone long before her time.
Chloe was born and raised in Swampscott, Massachusetts, the youngest child of Abby (Young) Smith and James Smith, whom she survives. She also leaves her loving siblings, Tristan Smith, Hayley Gray (TJ Gray), and Andrew Smith (Alana Hughes), nieces and nephews, William Gray, Sadie Gray, Callan Smith Hughes, Thomas Gray, and Fiona Smith Hughes, her aunts, Jenny Beck and Susan Young, her uncle Ernie Smith, her grandfather, Gary Young, her five cousins, and countless friends in her riding community and beyond. She also survived (and insisted on including) her dogs, Biscuit and Mabel, and the horse, Frankie.
Chloe is predeceased by her grandparents, Ernest “Dutchie” and Helen (Dortona) Smith and Mona Young, her aunt Deborah (Smith) Walsh, her uncle John “Cooley” Walsh, as well as her beloved horse Cruz.
Chloe was a progressive activist, and her memory will live on every moment those around her relentlessly pursued their heart’s desire and made a positive difference in the world; She inspires us all to ride.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026 at Clifton Lutheran Church, 150 Humphrey Street, Marblehead, Massachusetts, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Sunday, June 14, 2026 from 3-6 PM at Solimine Funeral Home, 67 Ocean St. (Route 1A), Lane.
