Carson Beck has a new home.
The mystery signal-caller who spent six years in college football, starting with the Georgia Bulldogs, including two national championships, and ending with a move to the Miami Hurricanes, Beck has now been drafted by the Cardinals with the first pick in the third round.
The 23-year-old Beck will likely compete as a replacement for center Jacoby Brissett after the team cut ties with Kyler Murray this offseason.
After transferring to Miami, Beck put together a very strong season for the Hurricanes, recording a career-high 30 touchdown passes.
The Hurricanes found themselves in the national title game, where they lost to No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza, 27-21.
Miami surprisingly defeated the Ohio State Buckeyes 24-14 in the quarterfinals and held off the Lane Kiffin-less Ole Miss Rebels in the semifinals.

Beck has been a lightning rod for attention during his college career, making a lot of money in his first year in Miami – multiple reports peg $3 million to $4 million for his lone season with the Hurricanes.
He also dated Miami women’s basketball star Hannah Cavender, although they broke up before the season started, with rumors and speculation swirling about the reasons for the split.
Expensive cars were also stolen from Beck and Cavender in February 2025, including a Lamborghini and a Mercedes.
Beck was projected to be a Day 3 draft pick by most prognosticators around the league.
