The Arizona Cardinals had a pretty miserable season in 2025, but things are getting better, right? Not according to the sports betting market.
The Cardinals have the shortest odds (+250 at bet365) to have the worst record in the NFL this season and will likely select No. 1 overall in the 2027 NFL Draft.
The over/under is listed as 4.5 wins with the juice under at -145 odds.
The Dolphins are the only other team with a win total this low. The Cardinals are also heavy underdogs to make the NFL playoffs at odds of 18/1. The odds of missing them are -15,000.
The Cardinals won just three games last season and finished 23rd in offense and 29th in defense. The offseason saw big changes as well.
Arizona moved on from quarterback Kyler Murray, who was waived because no team wanted to take the massive contract of the former No. 1 overall pick.
Jacoby Brissett is expected to be the starting quarterback to start the season in Arizona.
The Cardinals also swapped coaches in the offseason, jettisoning Jonathan Gannon in favor of Los Angeles Rams coordinator Mike LaFleur.
The Cardinals made some great picks in this year’s draft.
Notre Dame running back Jeremiah Love was selected with the No. 3 overall pick, the highest spot for a running back since Saquon Barkley was selected No. 2 overall in 2018.
They also selected Chase Bisontes, the No. 2 ranked offensive guard in ESPN’s rankings, in the second round and quarterback Carson Beck, who just made a national championship start with Miami.
Being at the bottom may not be the worst position in the world for the Cardinals.
Betting on the NFL?
The latest 2027 NFL Draft odds have quarterback Arch Manning (+170) as the favorite to be the top pick, with Oregon QBs Dante Moore (+450) and CJ Carr (+650) behind him.
Hitting the bottom for a second straight season would be tough after a three-win season, but it could lead to the Cardinals being given their franchise nod.
