In a city that loves ornate Victorian homes with wide front porches and a desire for tall, angular apartment buildings, this condo stands out — even though it’s located on a dead-end street in the Newton Highlands neighborhood.
They are a series of stacked boxes with a flat roof—a design choice that reflects not New England, but the adobe homes commonly found in the American Southwest. Furthermore, the exterior is plastered, not siding (f No Vegas either). It is one of the five modules in any developer Self Construction Company Calls Indigo Estates.
An inverted L-shape runs from ceiling to floor, creating a weather shield over the single-car garage below and the home’s entryway directly beyond. All exterior parts are two-tone, primarily white with black spread over the doorways and the back wall of the private second-floor deck.
Stepping through 5- Door Lite Brings one into this 380-square-foot living room that features hardwood floors, gray walls and a white coffered ceiling with recessed lighting. Natural light arrives through the door and an accompanying bank of three sectional glass windows extending from almost waist height to the ceiling. A lighting fixture simulating a whirlwind adorns the ceiling.
Passing through the staircase on the left, the open floor plan flows into the dining area, which anchors the back of the house and provides immediate access to the clear glass sliders. This unit, like the others, has its own patio and fenced yard. A pendant light suspended from wire defines the setting of the 182-square-foot dining room table. (To the right of the sliders is a half bath).

The flooring remains the same, but the kitchen is separated from the dining area with the help of a peninsula with a white granite counter that curves inward toward the heart of the house. The area is 156 square metres Bedini design White cabinets upstairs and flat gray Pedini cabinets below with white countertops covering the whole. White backsplash, and Fisher and Paykel The appliances are stainless steel, and the range is electric. There is a casement window above the sink.
A two-tone glass staircase—ebony handrails, ebony treads, and white risers—leads to the master suite, office/den, final bedroom, and second full bath. Secondary bedrooms are 132 and 121 square feet. The 68-square-foot secondary bathroom has a double vanity and a tile-framed shower/tub.

The primary bedroom is 204 square feet and features hardwood floors and decorative crown molding. A group of four true-segmented skylights adorn the exterior wall as a source of natural light. Comfortable lighting provides assistance. A glass door opens onto a private balcony (which can also be accessed from the office/second bedroom via a slider).
In addition to a large wardrobe, the master bedroom has a private bathroom. It has a double vanity to the right and a floating cabinet underneath. The 68-square-foot room ends with a large shower behind glass doors with a bench. The backsplash and floors are tile.
The unit includes a second parking space in front of the house and an electric heat pump for heating and air conditioning.
