Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter, Dannielynn, showed off a dramatic goth rock look as she kicked off the 2026 Kentucky Derby festivities.
The 19-year-old swapped her usual long blonde hair for a platinum bob with black tips while attending the Barnstable Brown Derby Eve party with her father Larry Birkhead on Friday.

“Danilynn rocks a fresh, ‘goth rock’ style,” Larry wrote in his caption.
The photographer also said his teenage daughter “insisted on getting in on the theme” by wearing a black Philipp Plein jacket.
“I look forward to having a good time for a great cause,” he added.

As for her new hairstyle, Larry said Dannielynn told him “she wanted something sexy and cool,” so she enlisted the help of one of her late mother’s hairstylist friends to make it happen.
“I cut the whole thing up and put some wild colors in it,” Larry told People. “I was getting myself groomed at the hair salon. I think she’s at the age where she can do what she wants to do.”
Larry explained that he’s very proud of her daughter for making the “complete style change” after typically choosing to recreate her late mother’s look.
“This is kind of Dannielynn showing off her own sense of style and she said it’s a goth rock theme,” he shared.
The father-daughter duo is a staple of the Kentucky Derby.
Larry even met Smith at the Barnstable Brown Derby Eve Gala in 2003.
