As the holidays approach, Amazon announced it will fill 250,000 jobs across the country, including tens of thousands of jobs in California.
“We are excited to have Amazon participate, and they have announced nearly 30,000 new seasonal jobs across California, including up to 3,000 available positions across Los Angeles, Long Beach and Anaheim,” Carly Levy, an Amazon spokeswoman, told KTLA.
Many seasonal roles have the ability to transition to year-round work with benefits, Amazon said in a press release.
“The positions offer competitive wages, flexible schedules, and paths to full-time employment with comprehensive benefits for those interested in long-term opportunities with the company,” Levy said.
Amazon also announced new data highlighting significant investments in California. “Amazon has invested $218 billion in California, contributing to local economic growth and job creation,” the press release said.
