Located between the Gulf and the Atlantic Ocean, Cape Cod is all about the water.
“People really live outside. They live on the deck. They shower outdoors,” he said. Rick Shechtmansenior vice president and realtor at Kinlin Grover Compass in Barnstable.
This desire to immerse yourself in Cape Cod’s waterfront is largely what characterizes homes above and below the million-dollar threshold.
“If you’re right on the water or you have a pool, a lot of those homes, you know, tend to be higher priced,” he said. Dawn Andalft-Newmana realtor with Property Cape Cod in Centreville. “closer [to the water]The higher the price point for sure.
But every city has bargains. “There are certain areas in every city that have a low-priced community,” Andalft Newman said.
For those looking for a bargain, Andalft-Newman’s notes lower prices on Dennisport townhomes with minimal square footage — near the water, but not on it. Spacious homes and new, modern buildings with all the bells and whistles are likely to break the bank, but classic homes still prevail.
“The most popular style is definitely the cape,” Shechtman said. The Cape Cod-style homes—most of which feature an outdoor shower or balcony—reflect the nature-centered lifestyle that many people come to the area for.
