T.I. helped kick off the BET Awards with a performance featuring hits including “Top Back” and “Let ‘Em Know.” During the latter, his 21-year-old son, King Harris, joined him onstage, sitting behind the wheel of a car as part of the performance. The appearance came just days after T.I. released Kill the King, his twelfth studio album, which he has suggested could be his final project.

The 2026 BET Awards featured several memorable parent-child moments throughout the evening. Jamie Foxx also shared the stage with his 17-year-old daughter, Anelise Bishop, during Kehlani’s performance of “Folded,” with Foxx on piano and Anelise accompanying him on guitar.
