Streaming new movies

“The Devil Wears Prada” (2006)

Before you head to theaters to see The Devil Wears Prada 2 (which did amazingly in its opening weekend at the box office), enjoy the modern comedy that made its mark 20 years ago. (I apologize if that makes you feel old.) Is Meryl Streep’s punitive editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly evil, or does she simply have high standards for Runway Magazine and her new employee Andy (Anne Hathaway)? One thing’s for sure: Andy’s chef friend (Adrian Grenier) is the villain no one wants to acknowledge.

How to watch: “The Devil Wears Prada.” Streaming on HBO Max and Holo.

“Marty Supreme” (2025)

One of my favorite films of 2025, “Marty Supreme” brings the same tense energy of 2019’s “Uncut Gems” to 1950s New York City, where Marty Mauser (Timothée Chalamet) goes from one hustle to another in his quest to become the world’s greatest ping-pong champion. Marty’s many flaws are clear, his motivations clear, but you understand why anyone unlucky enough to enter his orbit (including the never-better Gwyneth Paltrow) keeps falling in love with him.

How to watch: “Marty Supreme” is Streaming on HBO Max.

“Send Help” (2026)

When an oppressed corporate employee (Rachel McAdams) and her terrible CEO (Dylan O’Brien) end up on a deserted island, Linda’s love for “Survivor” suddenly becomes very relevant. ALSO RELATED: After being taunted and bullied by her boss in the real world, Linda now has the upper hand over a badly injured Bradley. With Sam Raimi (“The Evil Dead”) at the helm, you know there’s an equal dose of laughs and gasps.

How to watch: “Send help” is Streaming on Hulu.

More new streaming movies: “Greenland 2: Migration” (HBO Max); «Remarkably bright creatures» (Netflix); “We bury the dead” (Holo)

“Gary” (2026)

Hulu announced earlier this week that The fifth and final season of the Bear series It will debut on June 25. What Hulu He didn’t do that The announcement was made of the secret episode, which unexpectedly appeared on the streaming service on Tuesday. Before the events of the show, Gary sends Mickey (Jon Bernthal) and Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) on a short road trip to Indiana, where surprises and an emotionally devastating diatribe ensue.

How to watch: “Gary” (also known as “The Bear”). Streaming on Hulu.

“Lord of the Flies” (2026)

Netflix took a hit last year with its BBC-imported show Teenage, which took an investigative look at the extreme power the online world can exert on teenage boys. What the new BBC series Lord of the Flies reminds us is that teenage boys left unsupervised have always had the potential to act unruly when left to their own devices. William Golding’s story is the perfect vessel for thinking about our situation as a society, whether in a 1954 novel or a 2026 update.

How to watch: “Lord of the Flies” is Streaming on Netflix.

More new streaming TV shows: “The Castle” Season Two (Prime Video); “The Other Bennet Sister” (britbox); “unconditional”(Apple TV)
