HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – One person was injured and a deputy was shot after a shooting at a car wash in southeast Houston Friday afternoon, according to the Houston Police Department.
While authorities confirmed that a person had been shot, they did not say what condition the person was in, nor did they provide a description.
HPD has not said if anyone is in custody or if an active search is underway.
Investigators confirmed that a 2nd District Deputy Police Officer had been shot, but was not hit and did not return fire.
Photos from the scene at 10899 Sabo Road showed crime scene tape as police investigated the incident.

A woman who was in the middle of a food delivery at the Wingstop across the street heard a gunshot and saw a man take off running from the scene, while another man fell to the ground.
“I got in my car and drove across the street to the car wash to get to him, and I noticed he was bleeding,” Monica Jones said. “So I took a towel, and I pressed him until the ambulance came. And when the ambulance came, we switched places. So I hope he’s ok.”
