Why Princess Beatrice is considering moving to the US after her parents’ Epstein scandal

Princess Beatrice is reportedly considering a move to the US following the scandalous arrest of her father, former Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, over his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

While she has her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s real estate business in mind, the move is made more likely given the “precedent” set by other members of her family who have also left the country.

“Her sister Eugenie has lived abroad for many years, so this sets a precedent,” the source said, adding that the move “would have been unthinkable a few years ago, but times are very different now.”

“Moving abroad, most likely to the US, will be a fresh start for Beatrice and Edo, and will also mean they can give their marriage a boost and get it back on track.”

The couple allegedly feel they will be ‘duck ducks’ by staying in the UK because of ‘Andrew and Sarah’. [Ferguson] The problem won’t go away.”

The insider noted: “There is a police investigation that will last several months, and if Andrew is charged, there will be a trial and that is just more attention they can do without.”

“Moving to the United States would certainly seem obvious to them. Edo spends a lot of time there so I can easily see them moving there.”

And with the help of their cousin Prince Harry – who moved to the US with his wife, Meghan Markle, after they resigned as senior royals – this has become more likely.

The source said: “The two sisters are in contact with their cousin Harry, and he was giving them advice, and there was talk about them staying in California for a while.”

Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested on his 66th birthday in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office for allegedly sending confidential business documents to Epstein.

If convicted, he likely faces a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.

According to the source, news of the arrest allegedly “hit the sisters hard especially Beatrice because she needed Edo with her and he was away working in the US, where he was encouraging trade in his real estate business.”

That moment greatly damaged her marriage because “she needed a shoulder to cry on, but he wasn’t there for her, and that really upset her but they were desperate to get things right.”

“They know what it’s like, but they really want to try,” the source added.
