Teen dead after losing control of Mustang, colliding with pole: LAPD 

Police have confirmed that the teenage driver of a Mustang that lost control and crashed into a light pole died as a result of the accident.

A Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson told KTLA that the accident, which appeared to only involve the Mustang, occurred at 22 p.m.Second abbreviation Street and Harbor Boulevard in San Pedro around 11pm on Saturday.

“The car was heading east on the 22ndSecond abbreviation The spokesman said, “The street turned left toward the port when he lost control and collided with a column.”

One person was pronounced dead at the scene after authorities responded to the area. The victim is only listed as a “male between 17 and 18 years old.”

Video obtained by KTLA shows the Mustang involved in the collision sustained incredible damage as a result of the collision. The authorities set up a white tent to indicate that there had been a death at the accident site.

No other injuries were reported, and while the LAPD has not explained the cause of the collision, witness reports and news service OnSceneTV suggest speed may have been a factor.
