Emmanuel Acho Praises Shedeur Sanders’ Journey to Becoming QB1

Sanders, in his Week 14 game against the Tennessee Titans, led the Browns’ offense impressively. A unit that ranks at the bottom of PFSN’s Offense Impact hasn’t been impressive all season, but Sunday gave fans a feeling they haven’t experienced in a long time: Cleveland actually looked good.

So far, Coach Prime’s son has made three starts, and fans clearly see him performing better than Joe Flacco and Dillon Gabriel, who led the team earlier this season. After seeing Sanders’ potential, head coach Kevin Stefanski named him the starter for the rest of the year.

Following this huge achievement after a tough path, congratulations and praise continue pouring in for the rookie. Recently, former Eagles LB Acho, while speaking on Speakeasy, applauded Sanders’ rise to Browns QB1 despite alleged issues within the team.

“I love this situation for Shedeur,” Acho said. “And I hope everybody, (whether) you love sport or even if you don’t love sport, take note of what the hell Shedeur Sanders just did. In the midst of all adversities, in the midst of doubts, in the midst of hate, in the midst of skepticism, even from his own camp, Shedeur was so good that he couldn’t be denied.”

Acho emphasized that when someone is truly talented, nothing can stop them. Sanders had odds stacked against him from the start of the season, yet here he is delivering one of the best performances any Browns quarterback has shown in years.

Sanders on Kevin Stefanski’s Controversial Call

His rise to starting QB and his remarkable performance aren’t the only reasons fans love him; it’s also his humility. During the Week 14 game against the Titans, Stefanski made a controversial decision to take Sanders out for a two-point conversion that could have tied the game. That decision backfired, and the Browns lost 29–31. While fans blasted the coach, Sanders’ reaction was calm and respectful:

“Sometimes you have to run the ball, sometimes you have to kick a field goal. That’s the game. That’s the most important thing, the ball, so in any situation, of course, you would want to, but I know we practiced something, and we executed in practice, and we just didn’t seem to today, so I would never go against what the call was or anything.”

Sanders completed 23 of 42 passes for 364 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception on Sunday. With the Browns now heading into their Week 15 game against the Bears, fans are hoping the rookie can carry that momentum into another high-level performance.
