Largest Cantonese restaurant in US opens in Bay Area

(Crohn’s) – The largest Cantonese restaurant in the United States is located right here in the Bay Area.

At least that’s what HL Peninsula claims it is for its newly opened location in Castro Valley. The restaurant, located at 3868 Castro Valley Blvd., opened Thursday, Oct. 16, in Peninsula H.L. Announce.

The Castro Valley facility spans over 28,000 square feet and accommodates approximately 900 guests. There are nine private VIP rooms, and the restaurant serves “handmade dim sum made fresh daily.” Free parking is available in front of the restaurant entrance.

Hours of operation on the HL Peninsula in Castro Valley:

  • Lunch during the week: 10:30 am to 2:30 pm
  • Weekend lunch: From 10 am to 2:15 pm
  • Daily dinner: From 5 pm to 9:30 pm

The Castro Valley restaurant adds to HL Peninsula’s presence in the Bay Area, marking the fifth location in the region. The newest HL Peninsula restaurant is the company’s flagship restaurant, a business statement on its website says.

It is the largest peninsula HL in terms of maximum capacity. The second largest HL peninsula in Milpitas can accommodate about 700 guests.

The restaurant posted a reel on its website Instagram Shown on a tour of the Castro Valley site.

The HL Peninsula is “famous for its authentic Cantonese cuisine and handcrafted dim sum,” the restaurant wrote on its website. “With its combination of scale, authenticity and service, this location is set to become a gathering place for families, businesses and food lovers across the Bay Area.

“Whether you’re looking for a weekend brunch spot, a dim sum spot near Castro Valley, or a spacious setting for an Asian banquet, HL Peninsula offers an experience like no other.”

The HL Peninsula has been the host of a wedding, including this one last month.
