Fans Criticize Saints for Trying Out Justin Tucker

Last season, Tucker was abysmal for the Baltimore Ravens. He was 22 for 30 on field goal attempts, which means he made his kicks at a 73.3% rate. Three of his misses came from 40 to 49 yards, and five of them came from 50 and up.

In addition, he was suspended for the first 10 games of the NFL season for violating the league’s personal conduct policy. He was released from the Ravens in May after he was investigated for sexual misconduct. Sixteen massage therapists in the Baltimore area accused Tucker of alleged sexual misconduct.

Fans were quick to judge the Saints for bringing in Tucker despite his alleged misconduct.

“The team that did Bounty Gate doesn’t care about morals,” says one fan. The team has made questionable choices in the past, like with former head coach Sean Payton and the Bounty Gate. This fan suggests that signing Tucker, given his alleged conduct, would only add to the team’s questionable history.

Another fan points out the team’s record, saying that there is no way they’re desperate enough to sign a kicker with alleged misconduct. “No way they’re this desperate even at last in their division.” The team isn’t going to make the playoffs this season, so is it even worth signing a player with alleged misconduct that’ll anger the fanbase?

Another fan essentially says that the team is a dumpster fire, not believing they’d go this low. They said, “The Saints finding new lows weekly.” The Saints haven’t had any other controversy this season, so they must be referencing their poor play.

Another fan is in disbelief about the tryout, saying, “Lmfaooooooo you can’t make it up.” Needless to say, fans were shocked at the news.

Fans are not on board with the choice, with one fan simply saying, “No man no smh bad decision.”

After the decision to try him out and the poor play thus far, this fan says, “Fire Kellen,” in regards to firing head coach Kellen Moore.

Despite the alleged misconduct, signing Tucker would certainly anger the fan base and divide them. Is it really worth it, given their record?
