Iga Świątek Can’t Believe Taylor Swift Gifted Her ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ Merchandise Box With a Handwritten and Signed Note

Iga Świątek recently reacted to receiving gifts from Taylor Swift related to the album ‘The Life of a Showgirl,’ along with a signed note from Swift herself. The album is the American pop star’s 12th studio release, and it was released earlier this month, on October 3, 2025.

Świątek is a “Swiftie” and has frequently expressed her admiration for the American pop star. In 2024, the former World No. 1 also attended the singer’s Eras Tour concert at Anfield Stadium in Liverpool, United Kingdom.

How Did Iga Świątek React to Taylor Swift Sending Her Merchandise and a Handwritten Note?

Recently, Świątek took to social media and shared a picture of the gifts she received from Swift, which included a ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ merchandise box and a handwritten, signed note from the singer.

The six-time Grand Slam champion expressed her disbelief at receiving such gifts, stating that she could never have imagined being in this position just a few years ago. She stated that she feels “grateful” to have received the gifts. Świątek had also received a handwritten letter from Swift when she attended the Eras Tour concert in Liverpool.

“omg @taylorswift ???? Few years ago I wouldn’t even dream of moments like this. So grateful. ????,” Świątek captioned her Instagram story.

On the tennis side of things, Świątek most recently wrapped up her run on the Asian swing of the Tour. During this time, she competed in three tournaments: the 2025 Korea Open, the China Open, and the Wuhan Open.

The former World No. 1 secured her 25th career WTA Tour singles title by winning the WTA 500 hard court event in Seoul, where she defeated Ekaterina Alexandrova in the final. In Beijing, she was eliminated in the fourth round by Emma Navarro. At the Wuhan Open, she reached the quarterfinals before being knocked out by Jasmine Paolini.

Where Will Świątek Compete Next?

Following the conclusion of her run at the Wuhan Open, Świątek will next compete in the 2025 WTA Finals, which is scheduled to take place from November 1 to November 8, 2025. The matches of the tournament will be held on the indoor hard courts at the King Saud University Indoor Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

In addition to the six-time Grand Slam champion, other players set to compete in the season-ending tournament include Aryna Sabalenka, Coco Gauff, Amanda Anisimova, Madison Keys, Jessica Pegula, Paolini, and either Elena Rybakina or Mirra Andreeva.

Świątek achieved her best result at the WTA Finals in 2023. She was seeded second and won against seventh seed Markéta Vondroušová (7-6(3), 6-0), third seed Gauff (6-0, 7-5), and sixth seed Ons Jabeur (6-1, 6-2) in the round-robin matches.

In the semifinals, the Pole overcame top seed Sabalenka (6-3, 6-2) and then defeated fifth seed Pegula (6-1, 6-0) in the final, claiming the 2023 WTA Finals title.

Last year, Świątek was the defending champion at the season-ending tournament. Seeded second, she began her campaign by winning her first round robin match against eighth seed Barbora Krejčíková (4-6, 7-5, 6-2).

However, the former World No. 1 lost to the eventual champion, third seed Gauff, in her second round-robin match (3-6, 4-6). Świątek then defeated Daria Kasatkina (6-1, 6-0) in her third round-robin match but was unable to advance further in the tournament.
