Guthrie family makes desperate appeal for help in heartbreaking statement as search for missing Nancy Guthrie stalls

In a heartbreaking statement, Guthrie’s family said they are holding out hope that someone in the Arizona community where their missing 84-year-old mother lives may have important information about her abduction.

Nancy Guthrie’s three children expressed their gratitude to Tucson residents for their support in a statement to KVOA on Saturday, but urged renewed focus on the case as the search for the missing mother enters its seventh week.

“We continue to believe that the people of Tucson and the greater Southern Arizona community hold the key to finding a resolution in this case,” the statement said.

“Someone knows something. It’s possible that a member of this community has information that they don’t realize is important. We hope people will search through their memories, especially around the key timelines of January 31 and the early morning hours of February 1, as well as the late evening of January 11.”

They added: “We would strongly ask this community to renew interest in our mother’s case – please refer to camera footage, journal notes, text messages, notes or conversations that may have significance in retrospect.”

“No detail is too small. It could be the key.”

The grieving family said they missed their mother terribly and would not find peace until she returned home.

They said: “We cannot be sad, we can only suffer and wonder.”

“Our focus is solely on finding her and bringing her home. We want to celebrate her beautiful, brave life. But we cannot do that until she is transported to her final resting place.

Nancy, the mother of “Today” star Savannah Guthrie, is believed to have been taken from her home in Tucson, Arizona, during the early hours of February 1.

She was reported missing after she failed to show up at church, and security footage obtained from a doorbell camera showed a masked man loitering around the doorstep on the night police believe she was abducted.

Police have not yet identified any suspects.
