Golden State Warriors Release 28-Year-Old Forward Before Thunder Game

On Tuesday night, the Golden State Warriors will host the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

The Warriors come into the matchup as the eighth seed in the Western Conference with an 11-10 record in 21 games.

According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the Warriors are waiving Jackson Rowe.

Via Scotto: “The Golden State Warriors are waiving two-way forward Jackson Rowe, league sources told @hoopshype.”

Rowe is in his second NBA season (and has yet to appear in a game so far this year).

He is coming off a rookie season where he had averages of 3.7 points and 1.8 rebounds per contest while shooting 47.1% from the field in six games.

Rowe is currently in his third season playing for the Santa Cruz Warriors (G League).

In five games this year, the 28-year-old is averaging 13.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.0 blocks per contest while shooting 45.6% from the field and 23.8% from three-point range.

As for the Warriors, they most recently beat the New Orleans Pelicans (at home) by as core of 104-96.

Jimmy Butler led the way with 24 points, eight rebounds and ten assists while shooting 7/15 from the field in 37 minutes of playing time.

Following the Thunder, the Warriors will begin a road trip when they visit Tyrese Maxey and the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday at the Wells Fargo Center.

The Warriors are coming off a season where they were the seventh seed in the Western Conference.

They lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round of the 2025 NBA playoffs (after defeating the Houston Rockets in seven games).
