One of the most popular items at Trader Joe’s has been recalled due to metal fragments found in several baking products.
The FDA recall concerns a variety of bread varieties, including Trader Joe’s Focaccia bread, which is sold in most of its stores nationwide.
This comes after metal pieces were found in bread, according to the US Department of Agriculture He remembers.
“The company discovered metal fragments in various baking products. They determined that the cause was roasted tomatoes supplied by one of their ingredient suppliers.”
The Trader Joe’s package is labeled “TRADER JOE’S Focaccia Bread Roasted Tomato & Parmesan.” Comes in a 14 oz package.
According to the notice, the affected items were used on dates ranging from 5/1/2026 through 10/15/2026.
Shoppers are urged to throw away the product if they buy one or return it to the place of purchase.
The bread boxes were sold in 10 states, including California, Arizona, Florida, North Carolina, New Jersey, Texas and Virginia.
A total of 23,459 cases of baking goods were involved in the recall.
This news comes amid a few other recalls Trader Joe’s has made recently.
On February 19, Trader Joe’s popular chicken fried rice was recalled after glass shards were discovered inside the packaging.
More than 3.3 million pounds of the product, sold under the Trader Joe’s and Ajinomoto brands, were voluntarily recalled after customers reported the frightening discovery.
The Trader Joe’s-branded product was shipped to its stores throughout the United States, while the Ajinomoto-branded product was shipped only to Canada.

The Trader Joe’s package is titled “TRADER JOE’S CHICKEN FRIED RICE with Fried Rice, Vegetables, Seasoned Dark Meat Chicken and Egg” and comes in 20-ounce plastic bags. The “best by” dates are from September 8, 2026 to November 17, 2026.
Last month, the brand announced “out of an abundance of caution” that it was recalling more Trader Joe’s frozen products from Ajinomoto Foods North America Inc “due to the potential for them to be contaminated with foreign materials — specifically, glass,” according to Website.

- Vegetable Fried Rice – Best according to dates from 02/28/2026 to 11/19/2026
- Japanese Style Fried Rice – Best by Dates from 02/28/2026 to 11/14/2026
- Shu Mai Chicken – Best by Dates 03/13/2026 to 10/23/2026
Ajinomoto Foods North America Inc. has been recalled. Another 9,885,240 pounds of Trader Joe’s vegetable fried rice after shards of glass were found in one-pound meals.
The massive recall of nearly 10 million pounds of product has been added to the previous recall, According to FDA advisory.
The glass shards ranged from 1 to 3 cm in length and 2 to 4 mm in width.
According to the recall information, fortunately, no one suffered any injuries resulting from glass shards or metal pieces found in the food products.
