Egypt and Ukraine Leaders Call for De-escalation in the Middle East and Diplomatic Resolution

Zelensky reiterated concerns about the risks of continued escalation and expressed his appreciation for the diplomatic efforts made by Egypt aimed at restoring calm. He also highlighted Ukraine’s position in seeking to limit the expansion of the conflict in the Middle East.

In addition to regional developments, the two leaders discussed the war between Russia and Ukraine. Al-Sisi affirmed Egypt’s support for political and diplomatic solutions to the conflict, stressing the importance of a settlement as quickly as possible.
