If you want to be a family, you have to get along.
David and Victoria Beckham are desperately trying to mend their years-long separation from their eldest child, Brooklyn Beckham.
According to an article published in Cutting on Wednesdayinsiders close to the family claim that the footballer and Spice Girls alum has constantly offered to meet Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, in any situation they wish.
Whether it’s with lawyers, Peltz’s family members, a therapist or a mediator, they are pushing to repair the relationship, the source claims.
However, in January, Brooklyn, 27, issued a scathing statement — making it clear he’s not looking for a reunion.
“I don’t want to reconcile with my family,” the aspiring chef wrote on Instagram at the time.
The star went on to claim that bad blood had been brewing since he married Peltz in 2022 due to his parents’ distaste for the influencer.
In his shocking social media post, Brooklyn accused his parents of controlling narratives about their family to the press throughout his life through “performative social media posts, family events, and inauthentic relationships.”
Brooklyn also confirmed Page Six’s previous report that Victoria “ruined” their wedding day when she stole the show on the dance floor.
“My first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song, was hijacked by my mom,” he wrote.
While Victoria and David — who are also parents to sons Cruz and Romeo and daughter Harper — have yet to address Brooklyn’s allegations, they have continued to show their love and support for him on and off social media.
Last month, the fashion designer and athlete posted a birthday tribute to Brooklyn on Instagram, with David writing under his photo gallery: “We love you.”
Meanwhile, the couple aren’t the only family members feeling Brooklyn’s absence.
While performing at London’s Courtyard Theater in March, Cruz wiped away tears as he sang “Loneliest Boy,” a song from his band, Cruz Beckham & The Breakers, that appeared to be inspired by his relationship with his older brother.
The 21-year-old sang to the crowd, which included his parents, in video clips: “The only boy, I hope you listen.” The mirror got it. “Don’t push all your friends away when we try to show your love.”
