American star Coco Gauff and her mother, Candi, have recently shared their heartwarming reaction to WTA legend Venus Williams’ wedding to Andrea Preti, a film director, actor, model, and screenwriter. Williams, who has been dating the Italian since 2024, tied the knot in a highly anticipated celebration that spanned five days, with ceremonies held in both the United States and Italy.

The current World No. 3, who is set to defend Team USA’s title at the 2026 United Cup, along with Taylor Fritz, Mackenzie McDonald, Christian Harrison, Varvara Lepchenko, and Nicole Melichar-Martinez, has recently shared her admirable message to the newlyweds on the Instagram post shared by Vogue Weddings.
The post read, “Congratulations are in order for @VenusWilliams and Andrea Preti (@andreapreti88), the couple is officially married! Following their Italian celebration in September, the tennis legend and the actor finally tied the knot in Florida this past weekend with a fashion-filled week of events. “We all love each other so much,” Venus says. “It was just the happiest, most beautiful, sweetest day.”
To which Gauff added, “congratulations ❤️,” and her mother, Candi, also shared her heartfelt reflection, mentioning, “Beautiful, stunning, and congratulations!!!!.”
The 21-year-old, who considers the Williams sisters as her major inspiration growing up, had once shared how Venus had enlightened her regarding humbleness and growing outside the sport, which is now one of her pillar endeavors, reflecting, “She [Venus] taught me the importance of humility, and the importance of enjoying life outside of tennis, and also the importance of letting your emotions out on the court.” (via Olympics)

Whereas, during her 2025 French Open interview, the elder Williams sister, who herself introduced a fashion-forward flair both on and off the court, once applauded Gauff’s decision to wear the Vanson leather jacket during the clay Grand Slam tournament.
She had stated, “Now everybody knows, now the memo’s out, you may wear leather. In fact, you should wear leather. And I think what’s exciting now is so many barriers have been broken in tennis fashion that now it’s okay to be yourself. And if yourself says, I want to wear leather, you go for it. I love that Coco is breaking down more barriers with that.”
Venus’s wedding took place in Ischia, Italy, and Palm Beach, Florida, and the celebrations also included a bridal shower, a yacht gathering, and the couple’s dinner at Sopra, among other events.
