Sunday’s home loss to the 4-0 Eagles started a tough stretch of games for the 3-1 Bucs, one that will continue for three more weeks with a road game against the 3-1 Seahawks, a home game against the 3-1 49ers and a primetime road game against the 3-1 Lions.
And while Tampa Bay waits and sees about a potential kickoff time adjustment for its Week 5 game in Seattle due to possible conflicts with MLB’s playoff schedule, news hit Monday afternoon that the team’s Week 6 home game against San Francisco has been flexed to a new kickoff time. Originally scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start, the matchup between the Bucs and 49ers at Raymond James Stadium will now begin at 4:25 p.m.
CBS will still televise the game, but it’s a late-afternoon kickoff for Tampa Bay and San Francisco now as the previously scheduled 4:25 p.m. game between New England and New Orleans is being bumped up to the early afternoon window.
Tampa Bay will be looking for a rare win over San Francisco when the 49ers come to town for that 4:25 p.m. kickoff. The Bucs are 7-21 all-time against the 49ers and have lost four straight in the series, losing in 2019, 2022, 2023 and 2024. The franchise’s last win over San Francisco came in 2018.
A Glimpse At The Bucs’ Upcoming Schedule
The Bucs’ Week 3 game against the Jets and Sunday’s game against the Eagles both kicked off at 1:o0 p.m., but now with the change to this Week 6 matchup against the 49ers, Todd Bowles and Co. won’t play another 1:00 p.m. game until Nov. 9, which is Week 10.

Tampa Bay’s Week 5 game in Seattle is currently scheduled for a 4:05 p.m. kick that could be pushed back if the Mariners are scheduled for an MLB playoff game at that same time. The Week 6 game back in Tampa is now a 4:25 p.m. kick, and Week 7 is a Monday Night Football game for the Bucs in Detroit. Then comes Week 8, which will see Tampa Bay head to New Orleans for a 4:05 p.m. kickoff.
The Bucs then have a Week 9 bye before they come back home in Week 10, on Nov. 9, to host the Patriots at 1:00 p.m.
That will actually be the first of back-to-back 1:00 p.m. games, which begins a stretch of four in five weeks. After that Patriots game, Tampa Bay will hit the road to meet Buffalo for a 1:00 p.m. kick and while the team will then have a Sunday Night Football game against the Rams on the road in Week 12, it will then come back for back-to-back 1:00 p.m. games at Raymond James Stadium against the Cardinals and Saints, respectively.
