Two Bucs Limited, One Did Not Participate At Thursday’s Practice

With only three days remaining until the Bucs take on the Cleveland Browns, Thursday’s injury report comes without surprises. One player did not play, but it was not for concern of injury.

Safety Miles Killebrew and cornerback Jacob Parrish were once again limited in practice. Tomorrow will fully determine whether or not the pair will be taking the field this Sunday for Tampa Bay’s home opener.

If Miles Killebrew is inactive for Week 2, it is likely that a member of the practice squad will be pulled up. Safety, Ifeatu Melifonwu was elevated for last week’s game due to the Bucs minimal depth at that position. It would not be surprising if Melifonwu was activated again and possibly even one other player. This would give him and Tampa Bay two elevations with only one more remaining.

Defensive lineman, A’Shawn Robinson was rested at Thursday’s practice and did not participate in practice. This is likely no real cause for concern as Robinson has no history on the injury report this season.

This is a must-win game for the Bucs, especially after a loss in Week 1. Tampa Bay got lucky last week with all three division rivals failing to win their games. Playing catchup is the last thing any team wants to do, and this is a golden opportunity for the Bucs to start the season at the top of the division.
