State Police arrested a ride-share driver Sunday in connection with the alleged assault of a passenger at Boston Logan International Airport, the agency announced.

Leonard Bacon, 23, of Lowell, was arrested at a home in Lowell and transported to the State Police barracks at Logan Airport, a State Police spokesman said Sunday evening.

Bacon is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, state police said.

State Police said the charges stem from an incident that occurred shortly before 5:30 a.m. Friday, when a passenger entered Terminal C with visible injuries and reported being “physically assaulted by a rideshare driver before getting off.”

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. State police identified the attack as a stabbing, according to a radio broadcast recorded by Broadcastify.

Bacon is scheduled to appear Monday in East Boston District Court, authorities said.

Attorney information for Bacon was not available Sunday evening.
