Porsha Williams and her daughter, Pilar “PJ” McKinley, hosted an advance screening of Disney’s live-action Moana in Atlanta.
The mother-daughter duo welcomed guests to Regal Atlantic Station for an early look at the film ahead of its July 10 nationwide release.
After the screening, Williams took to Instagram to share highlights from the evening.
Alongside photos, she wrote, “Atlanta, you SHOWED UP last night. We had such a fun night watching Disney’s new MOANA! The evening kicked off with so many fun games, giveaways, and treats. So glad PJ & I got to host an incredible first look with my ATL fam.”
She also thanked Disney, saying, “Thank you, @Disney!! Pilar and I were so excited to host an incredible first look for my ATL fam of Disney’s new live-action Moana!”
In a separate post, the proud mom reflected on what it meant to share the experience with her daughter.
“Hosting with my beautiful baby girl filled my heart in a way I can’t even explain,” she wrote. “Looking at this picture, I’m reminded of how quickly time flies. Look how tall she’s getting. Look how bright she is, how smart she is, and how beautifully she’s growing into herself.”
Motherhood, she said, remains the greatest blessing in her life.
“I thank God every single day that I’m her mommy. Motherhood just keeps on giving, and it’s the greatest blessing of my life.”
Williams closed out the message by reminding parents to hold onto moments with their children.
“This post is for me. I’m pretty sure that next year I’ll look back at this same picture and see a completely different little girl, because that’s how fast time moves. That’s why these moments should be cherished. Time with family is precious. Take the pictures, hold onto the memories, and keep them forever in the pages of your heart.”
