Egyptian Straits attended the second edition of Delilah Women’s Health Summit 2026 at the Town Hall in District 5, New Cairo, on June 27, where women from across the country gathered for a day of unfiltered expert-led conversations about the female body, health and life experience. With so many advocates and practitioners in the field of women’s health, this event served as a reminder of how important and how overdue these discussions are.
Top It started at 12 noon and lasted for 10 hours, and included workshops, a trivia quiz and 11 panel discussions, presented by multidisciplinary experts with honest conversations about hormones, fertility, nutrition, skincare and intimacy.
The Dalida Summit brought together women’s health advocates, psychotherapists, clinical psychologists, postpartum experts, obstetricians and gynecologists, fertility specialists, nutritionists, hygienists, dermatologists, diabetes and metabolism specialists, legal professionals, and media personalities. Together they explored women’s health from medical, psychological, social and cultural perspectives.
The episodes broadly addressed women’s health across different life stages, including puberty, metabolism, fertility, reproductive planning, hormonal health, healthy aging, marriage, sexual health, uterine diseases, early diagnosis and preventive health care, birth control, postpartum recovery, and maternal mental health.
During the first session entitled Her first sessionthe panel guided mothers on how to have a conversation with their daughters, grounding them in both the science and psychology behind menstruation. Another explored how hormones affect weight, appetite and energy, helping women understand their bodies better.
On the topic of menstrual health, UNFPA posed the question: “What is your menstrual cycle trying to tell you?” The discussion featured a women’s and reproductive health physician, head of business development at Be Girl, a global menstrual health company that designs menstrual products, and Artist Yousra El LozyShe is a keynote speaker at UNFPA-supported panels and summits for women’s empowerment.
Another talk took a data-driven look at egg freezing, covering AMH (anti-Müllerian hormone) testing, a blood test that measures a woman’s ovarian reserve and the approximate number of remaining eggs, along with broader reproductive planning.
Build a healthier you There was another outstanding panel discussion, covering the science of aging well, protecting bone density and muscle mass, and optimizing hormonal health for a strong, resilient and vibrant life at every stage.
The summit also addressed the importance of understanding the female body, distinguishing between normal cramps and chronic pain caused by endometriosis or fibroids, identifying red flags, and knowing when to seek a diagnosis. The session was presented by gynecological surgeons, endometriosis and fertility specialists, and an endometriosis awareness advocate.
Accordingly, Stop Waiting: Why Small Symptoms Matter? Explore how simple problems can develop into serious health problems if left untreated, with practical examples of what to watch out for.
On the topic of birth control, a panel led by a professor of obstetrics, gynecology, and subfertility provided unbiased information about contraceptive options, including pills, IUDs, and hormonal methods, covering their benefits and side effects.
Fertility challenges, prenatal fears and unexplained health patterns were also on the agenda, with the panel calling on women to explore how their DNA shapes their fertility, their prenatal health, and their children’s futures.
The panel includes a relationship coach and psychologist, a sexual health counselor, a content creator who discusses motherhood and marriage, and a marriage and family law attorney.
