Dunkin’ is celebrating America’s 250th birthday by introducing a limited-edition Dunkin’ eagle cup, designed with a clear bottom topped with a sculpted eagle lid.
“Whether you’re sipping a vibrant, refreshing beverage or a classic iced coffee, this collectible set turns every drink into a celebration,” Dunkin said in a press release.
The trophy quickly gained traction online. Even before it appeared in stores, Dunkin’ announced that guests “may have already seen the Eagle Cup fly across social media.”
“Run to Dunkin’ because today is the day!” Instagram user @rebeldealz commented Clip shows a visit to Dunkin’ to secure the cup.
Many other users on the platform commented on the post, saying that they had bought many mugs.
“I also got 3 because they are already reselling them on eBay for $50,” one user wrote.
A Reddit thread focused on users who lost a limited edition Barbie pink pineapple cup that Dunkin’ dropped earlier this summer showed many celebrating by getting their hands on the Eagle cup.
“When the pineapple cup went down, my job took me away from my regular Dunkin’ (or any Dunkin’, really), and every location I tried after work was long ago sold out,” one Reddit user wrote. “My job did the same thing for me today, but I managed to get to my morning spot at Dunkin’ today and stumbled upon it. Hurray.”
Dunkin’ enjoys offering the cup. a company Instagram share A comparison of facts about a real eagle with a trophy eagle received 21,000 likes and more than 400 comments.
“The Dunkin’ eagle mug can be seen in any room,” the Massachusetts-based company wrote alongside a photo of the mug, next to a photo of a real eagle and the message. “The bald eagle can spot prey from more than two miles away.”
“Luckily I read this before I put my straw in a bald eagle. Whew,” one commenter wrote on Instagram.
Dunkin’ announced it has introduced a “special, all-star selection of beverages and baked goods for a limited time inspired by the flavors, colors and traditions of summer’s biggest holiday.” It also sells an “Americana-themed summer merchandise collection.”
“Dunkin’ is bringing the energy of America’s 250th birthday to every part of the menu,” Anthony Epter, vice president of menu innovation at Dunkin’, said in a press release.
“Inspired by Fourth of July traditions, we’ve created a line of drinks, bakery treats and a collectible Eagle Cup that makes every Dunkin’ run more festive and every sip a celebration.”
“Star-Spangled Sips and Summer Flavors” feature “nostalgic flavors, colorful toppings and fun twists,” according to Dunkin’. Some offerings include a variety of lemonades, fruits, and a selection of flavored frozen coffees.
Dazzleberry Coolatta, blueberry flavored, topped with whipped cream and “patriotic sprinkles.”
The Dunkin’ bakery case is filled with sweets available for a limited time, including cupcakes and munchkins (donut holes), in red, white and blue.
The Rocket Pop Donut features a star-shaped yeast crust with Rocket Pop-flavored filling, topped with blue icing and a mix of stars and stripes, while the Stars & Stripes Donut is “dipped in blue icing and topped with festive red, white and blue sprinkles.”
The Eagle Cup is priced at $10.99 and is available nationwide while supplies last. Twenty cups are available at each location, according to Dunkin’.
Each Eagle Mug purchase includes one medium drink.
