Taylor Swift showed up at Travis Kelce’s Tight Ends and Friends concert for the second straight year last week and once again surprised guests with a magical performance, delivering a rendition of her 2008 hit “Love Story” alongside country star Lainey Wilson.
Much of the world was in awe of the performance, and former Tennessee Titans offensive tackle Taylor Lewan was no different.
Taylor Lewan Compares Taylor Swift’s Stardom to Michael Jackson’s
Swift attended the event with Kelce ahead of their expected wedding in New York this weekend.
Her surprise appearance at the Tight Ends University concert excited attendees, and the performance quickly became one of the event’s biggest moments.
Lewan, a three-time Pro Bowler offensive tackle who attended the event, admitted that Swift’s music is not usually his genre but praised her professionalism, stage presence, and ability to connect with the audience.
“Taylor Swift came out. Lainey Wilson introduced Taylor Swift. She came, and I’ll just tell you this, dude. I was kind of into her music when I was younger. I haven’t, like, been super into it since then. It’s just not my genre. The girl is incredible. What a performer,” Lewan said during a recent appearance on the Bussin’ With The Boys podcast.

The three-time All-Pro explained that he watched Swift prepare backstage before stepping onto the stage and was impressed by how she handled the pressure despite being one of the biggest stars in the world.
“For her to sit back, get in the zone, and go out and just put on a performance… the pop from the crowd, the way she handled everybody, everybody in that moment felt like she was just singing individually to them,” Lewan added.
Lewan continued his praise, comparing Swift’s level of fame to some of the biggest entertainers in history.
“It was awesome, man. It’s just really cool to watch people who are, like, outliers in their craft perform. And I thought she is clearly that. She’s the biggest superstar in the world. She’s our modern-day Michael Jackson. That’s probably the level of stardom it is. And it’s just awesome to see all that go down, all while our boy Trav is just there kind of bobbing around, just stoked to be there.”

The concert was held at The Pinnacle in Nashville, Tennessee, and was open to the public. Tickets were sold with proceeds benefiting selected charities. The balcony area was filled with NFL tight ends attending the event as part of Tight Ends University, which was founded by Kelce, George Kittle, and Greg Olsen.
The event, held on June 24 and 25, featured more than 70 tight ends preparing for the 2026 NFL season.
While Kelce remains one of the NFL’s biggest stars, an 11-time Pro Bowler, a seven-time All-Pro, and the holder of multiple NFL records for tight ends, Swift once again proved why she remains one of the world’s most influential entertainers, even in a room full of professional athletes.
Now, the spotlight turns to the couple’s wedding, which is expected to take place at Madison Square Garden on July 3.
