Head-on crash in N.H. leaves 1 dead, family of 5 injured

Three family members were seriously injured.

A 25-year-old woman was killed and five members of her family, including three children, were injured in a horrific traffic accident in Coos County, New Hampshire, on Friday. According to the state police.

Just after 9 p.m., troopers responded to the crash on Route 3. A 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, driven by a 25-year-old woman, Courtney Diamond, of Pelham, reportedly crossed the center line heading northbound “for reasons still under investigation” and collided with a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado that was traveling southbound, a preliminary investigation determined.

Police said several good Samaritans stopped to help. Diamond was eventually pronounced dead at the scene.

The family of five was in a Silverado pickup truck. Police said that three of them were seriously injured, while two were not seriously injured. All five were taken to Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital and then Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, where they remained Saturday. There were no updates on their conditions.

The incident is under investigation. Coos County comprises the northern tip of the state.
