WILMINGTON, DELAWARE– One person is dead, and the gunman remains at large, after a double shooting Tuesday afternoon inside a Wilmington hospital in Delaware.
Officials said in a press conference that investigators are still working to track down the suspect and confirm his identity.
The condition of the second person who was shot, nor the identity of the victims, has not yet been revealed.
Wilmington Hospital was placed on lockdown after the shooting, but that has since been lifted.

Two people were shot inside Wilmington Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware, on Tuesday afternoon.
Police officials say officers were called to the facility around 3:30 p.m
Arriving officers found two victims with gunshot wounds. Their conditions have not been released.
Law enforcement officials told ABC News that preliminary information indicates the incident began when a hospital employee shot other employees.
The alleged shooter may have just been a temporary employee. The identity of the suspect is known to police, who are currently conducting a manhunt.
The condition of the injured is not known at the present time.

ABC News has learned that police believe the incident is a workplace shooting, though officials say the scene remains active and information may change.
Brian Pfeiffer is a hospital guide who was in the emergency department at the time. He said he heard the gunfire and was there when armed police entered the building.
“It was so intense. I’m kind of shaking,” he said. “Heaven forbid anyone would be a part of that.”
Helicopter 6 video from our sister station 6abc Business News In Philadelphia it showed people leaving the hospital with their hands raised.
A video clip showed a number of police cars at the entrance to the hospital’s emergency department late Tuesday afternoon.
A large number of policemen, firefighters and paramedics could be seen from Helicopter 6.

The hospital is closed, and Wilmington Police are asking the public to avoid the area.
