Police said Fausto Abreu, 60, had active arrest warrants on three counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 years old.
A Boston man was arrested Thursday on charges of assaulting a child who was driving to and from school.
Fausto Abreu, 60, of Roxbury, was arrested Thursday near 100 Warren Street in Roxbury, police said.
The Boston Police Department said in a statement that Abreu had warrants issued for his arrest on three counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 years old. Community announcement.
BPD said Abreu was hired through social media in September 2025 to transport a young child to and from his school.
BPD said Abreu indecently assaulted the victim while at work.
Boston police are investigating the alleged assaults and seeing if there may be additional victims, police said.
Court records had not been updated to reflect Abreu’s arrest as of Thursday evening.
