NFL World Stunned By Knicks’ Historic Comeback Against Spurs

The Knicks trailed the Spurs by 27 points at halftime but eventually won Game 4, 107-106, at Madison Square Garden. The Spurs could only muster 30 points in the second half.

Former NFL QB Robert Griffin III took to his X handle and put the blame on the Spurs.

“The San Antonio Spurs have been showing their youth all series long,” he wrote. “You can’t go up 29 points and lose the game. No one else to blame but themselves.”

Dallas Cowboys legend Dez Bryant posted on his X handle, “I can’t believe what I just saw.”

In separate post, Bryant compared the Knicks’ victory with the New York Patriots’ historic Super Bowl comeback against the Atlanta Falcons.

“The Knicks..comeback over the Spurs is far better than the Patriots comeback against the Falcons,” Bryant opined. “I don’t know how the Spurs will respond to this… wow!”

Super Bowl champion Ryan Clark declared, “Knicks you are absolutely amazing!!”

NFL analyst Trey Wingo commented on his X handle, “What an absolute choke job by the Spurs and an incredible comeback by the Knicks.”

NFL insider Albert Breer pointed out a couple of things. In the dying seconds of the game, the Spurs had a fastbreak after Jalen Brunson missed a 3-point shot, and De’Aaron Fox tried to go to the rim but got blocked by OG Anunoby.

He said, “Two things … 1) I have no idea how De’Aaron Fox doesn’t force the Knicks to foul him there at the end. 2) I think the refs blew a pivotal call with 1:02 left – pretty sure Castle wasn’t out of bounds.”

Indianapolis Colts legend Reggie Wayne didn’t hold back.

“Wow. They choked…” he wrote.

Game 5 is on Saturday as the series heads back to the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, and the Spurs will try to shake off this brutal loss.

Now, the Knicks are just one win away from hoisting the Larry O’Brien Trophy for the first time since 1973.
