“They don’t even let him have a drink.”

Fantasy football loser succeeds at red sox game: No one ever wants to lose, but this is a principle that especially applies to fantasy football. He’s also become famous over the years – be it for his unfortunate tattoos, 15-hour trips to Waffle Houseor any number of other creative performances – those who finish last in fantasy football are annually subject to light penalties.
The latest in the category of hackneyed hoaxes came during Tuesday’s Red Sox game in Kansas City. One fan, sitting in the upper deck of Kauffman Stadium, was shown displaying a string of collages that read: “I HATE FANTASY FOOTBALL.”
If you think you’re having a bad day, just remember that you could be that guy 😬

“Awesome,” NESN color commentator Lou Merloni quipped as the broadcast cut to the unfortunate (but admirable) fan who was sitting alone.
“They told him, ‘You have to wear something bright,’ and that’s the sign,” Dave O’Brien joked.
The unexpected discovery by television cameras elicited a fair amount of laughter from Boston commentators.
“They wouldn’t even let him have a drink,” Merloni noted.
